“This is my joint” technique

As you enter the bar or club, wave a “Hi” to some imaginary friends of yours in the place.

Say Hi to your friend the DJ, even though he doesn't know who you are and isn't even looking in your direction.

Say Hi to the bartender. If she is looking, she will reply a “Hi” anyway. Say Hi to your friends in the back. Make sure you say hi to people who aren't looking at you.

Why?

So the chicks checking you out will think this is your joint, that you know everyone in the joint and that your are the coolest shit since John Travolta in Grease.

However useful these techniques may be to improve your reputation, obviously don't do it in neighborhood watering holes and run down bars. You don't want to look like someone who knows all the truck drivers and bums from the neighborhood.
