Scoot-Down

Very important: If she is sitting down, and there are no seats next to her, scoot down so as to be at the same eye level. It will be better than creating an uncomfortable situation by talking down to her.

Vice-versa also applies, if she comes over to your table to talk to you, stand up to talk to her or offer her a seat with the “let's talk for a minute” which should be more convincing than “would you like to sit down”.
