Ask her

In case you can't come up with anything to talk about, start it off with a question. Pretend you are not familiar with the area, with the closing times, with the name of the DJ or band, the name of her drink, where she got her jacket (cause you like it)... etc.

This approach can be useful since in case they flip on you (such as “get away from me jerk” type attitude), you can bust out a reverse-tractor beam mack and be like “ sorreeeee, I just wanted to know of any other bars around here ... jeez! (Eye-roll)”, then repeat the question to someone else close by, as if you really need to know.

Once you develop a repertoire of icebreakers, it becomes a lot easier to approach women and talk to them but the bottom line is:

Talk to them as you would to any other guy.

No deviously sexual smirks, no nervousness, no sweat. Pretend that she is just another friend, and not the hottest girl you've ever seen. It will come across smoother and you'll seem a lot more confident and mature than if you just keep complimenting her looks.
